Just last summer, Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with the Hanbok Advancement Center launched a fashion exhibit to promote hanbok inspired clothing. The event showcased contemporary hanboks designs to be worn everyday and by anyone interested. (A hanbok is a traditional Korean garment.)

During this year’s Hanbok Culture Week, which kicked off on Monday (17th) and goes until Oct 23rd, visitors can expect to see modern hanbok fashion and more. The event in Seoul will offer special hanbok-themed exhibits, concerts, a fashion show and ceremony.

This year, Korea’s Ministry has expanded the cultural week to include many cities throughout the world, London, Rome, Abu Dhabi and Seattle are among them.
